Director Foundation Max van der Stoel
1 FTE (35 hours) for 1 year, with the prospect of a permanent position.

Who are we?
The Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS), founded in 2013, is the independent foreign foundation affiliated to the Labour Party. We are committed to international solidarity. The FMS strives for a world in which the democratic rights of all people are guaranteed. We support changemakers around the world and give them a stage. We promote a fair world by also advocating policies in the Netherlands and Europe that promote equality, sustainability and development. We involve as many different people as possible by sharing knowledge and encouraging dialogue. This is how we make people stronger and politics fairer.
Who are we looking for?
You have a relevant social and political network, both internationally and nationally. You have broad political knowledge and an interest in the foundation's international field of action. You can quickly switch between the various aspects of the FMS's work and respond to new developments and opportunities. You are creative and able to link content, organisation and communication. You are willing to travel regularly and work irregular hours. You have the necessary experience in managing a team and have some experience with financial management. You are good at representing the organisation and at convincingly entering into (political) discussions with (potential) donors, partners and politicians. You have an affinity with social democracy and are a member of the PvdA or willing to become one.

Working conditions (travel expenses scheme, holidays, etc.)
The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Labour and Other Institutions. The salary is minimum €4,266 and maximum €5,750 gross per month for a 35-hour working week and classification in scale 10. Promotion to scale 11 is possible. The end-of-year bonus is €1,700 gross.
The appointment is for one year with the prospect of a permanent position.
