Africa Day once again has a packed programme. For instance, Sigrid Kaag, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, kicks off the day during the Grand Opening with a speech on inclusive green growth. In addition, visit the performance 'Pronk' by Anouk Nuyens with an aftertalk with Jan Pronk himself, engage with writer Vamba Sherif on 'decolonisation of the mind', have a guided tour of the Tropenmuseum or take part in one of more than 30 workshops.

You can also enjoy a diverse cultural programme, with a special edition of the iAfrica Film Festival and a literature programme by Bookstore Athenaeum. To top it all off, we will close the day with the legendary afterparty 'Afreak' in Desmet Studios. Here you can enjoy a delicious African supper and DJs and live music are guaranteed to get your hips swinging. So don't forget to add your afterparty ticket when buying an Africa Day ticket!

Would you like to come with child(ren)? You can! The children's programme 'Africa Day for Kids' welcomes all Africa Day visitors aged 4 to 12 with a children's programme ticket.
