PRO International (de nieuwe buitenlandstichting van Progressief Nederland) werkt samen met mensen en organisaties wereldwijd die zich inzetten voor democratie, mensenrechten, klimaat en solidariteit.

We geloven dat internationale samenwerking alleen werkt als die gelijkwaardig is. Daarom werken we samen met progressieve politieke partijen, maatschappelijke organisaties en changemakers. Niet van bovenaf, maar vanuit partnerschap en wederkerigheid. Samen bouwen we aan initiatieven die bijdragen aan eerlijke politiek, sterker klimaatbeleid en rechtvaardigere samenlevingen. Dit doen we via trainingen, publicaties, campagnes en evenementen zoals politieke cafés, webinars en internationale bijeenkomsten.

This internship focuses on raising the profile of the new international foundation. You will contribute to communication and promotion activities relating to projects, meetings and events, both nationally and internationally. You will not only assist with the organisation, but will also be given the opportunity to take the initiative and develop your own ideas. In this way, you will gain broad experience in communication and event organisation within an international environment.

PRO International is een fusie van de Foundation Max van der Stoel en International Foundation Groenlinks. De buitenlandstichting is gelieerd aan PRO maar werkt onafhankelijk. Met een stage in het najaar 2026 ben jij onderdeel van de eerste lichting stagiairs in deze nieuwe  organisatie! De nieuwe stichting gaat door met het werk van beide organisaties.

What will you do? 

• Je vertaalt internationale politieke thema’s naar sterke social media content;
• Je schrijft artikelen, interviews, nieuwsbrieven en webteksten over internationale politiek en samenwerking;
• Je organiseert politieke cafés, webinars, conferenties en internationale evenementen;
• Je helpt mee met de voorbereiding van evenementen (promotie, visuals, contact met sprekers en gasten);
• Je denkt actief mee over hoe we PRO international zichtbaarder maken voor een breed publiek.
  
  

Who are we looking for? 

• You have a passion for politics and international cooperation;
• You have an open, communicative attitude and enjoy thinking creatively;
• You enjoy writing and have an excellent command of Dutch and English;
• You can process information quickly and turn it into accessible content;
• You’re at home on social media and ideally have some experience with Canva or similar tools;
• You enjoy organising events or learning more about them;
• You can work independently and keep an overview in a dynamic working environment.

We understand that you may not have all the knowledge yet, and you don't have to. Motivation and room for development are most important. We encourage everyone - all backgrounds, M/F/X, much or less experience - to apply.

What do we offer? 

• An internship running from September to January, four days a week (32 hours).
• Working in a small, close-knit team;
• Intensive guidance, regular feedback moments and space for your own learning goals;
• An internship allowance of €750 per month;
• Flexible working hours and opportunities to work partly from home.
