Towards 2027; Three days of campaign training in Montenegro

Last weekend, participants gathered in Budva, Montenegro, for the seminar “Strategy 2027: Campaign Blueprint”. For three days, it was all about doing, practising and exchanging. No remote theory, but practical sessions and sharp conversations on what is needed for a strong campaign by our social democratic colleagues towards the important 2027 elections.

Participants worked on communicating clearly and convincingly to better understanding voters. From smart organisation of fieldwork to using digital tools and dealing with difficult situations during campaigns, all this was covered.  The seminar is part of the long-term cooperation between the Fund for Progressive Politics and the Foundation Max van der Stoel. Together, we are working to strengthen progressive and social democracy in Montenegro, with a focus on practical capacity building.

This is more relevant than ever. Montenegro is at a crucial stage towards joining the European Union. Especially now, it is important that the political landscape is pluralistic, democratic and well organised. Strong social democratic parties play a key role in this. Participants went home with new insights, an elaborated campaign plan and, above all, renewed energy to work well prepared towards the elections.
