Get your tickets now for Africa Day on 18 November!

Saturday 18 November, the annual Africa Day is back! For 25 years, this has been the event about Africa in the Netherlands. A day full of workshops, debates, lectures, literature, films, music, a fashion show, and much more! Order your tickets at afrikadag.co.uk/tickets.

This year, there is one theme at the centre of Africa Day: climate justice. All over the world, people are struggling with climate change, the greatest challenge of our time. But nowhere is the challenge greater than in African countries, even though they are not a major contributor. A broad movement is therefore demanding climate justice policies.

On 18 November, it's all about that at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. With a discussion on oil pollution in the Niger Delta, an election debate between candidates for the upcoming Lower House elections, a conversation between Dutch and African trade unions, speeches by climate activists, literature programmes by Boekhandel Athenaeum and Stichting El Hizjra, and much more.

With climate activist Hilda Flavia Nakabuye of Fridays for Future Uganda, writer and journalist Babah Tarawally, MEP Mohammed Chahim, former minister Jan Pronk, and many others.
